How it works

Four steps. No setup, no screen, no instructions to wade through.

01

Pick a card

Every card holds one answer to identify and the clues that lead to it.

02

Reveal the clues

Read them out one at a time. Fewer clues used, more points earned.

03

Name the answer

Guess alone, in pairs or in teams. Argue about it. That's the fun part.

04

Keep what you learnt

Sort into Know It, Learning It and Need Practice, then go again.

The decks

Flip a deck over and see what you'd be playing with.

Two ways to use it

Active recall, without an app

  • Study one card, then cover the answer and test yourself.

  • Spend your time on the pile that's actually hard.
  • A supplementary revision tool — not a replacement for course materials.

Why we built this

We got tired of learning feeling like a chore.

WHO AM I? FLASH started with a simple problem: most ways of learning something new are either boring or forgettable — and most games are fun but teach you nothing.

We wanted both. A card in your hand, three clues, and a moment of ‘wait... I actually know this.’ Something you could play alone to learn, or throw across the table to challenge someone else.

That's the whole idea. Pick a card. Get curious. Remember it. Prove it.

One deck. Two ways to use it.

Each deck turns a topic into a clue-based guessing game. Use it solo as an active-recall learning tool, or play it as a group challenge. Same cards, two ways to use them.

Made for curious minds.

Built for curious minds of any age — solo learners, families, students, teachers, and friend groups looking for something sharper than trivia night. Not a kids' toy. Not a classroom worksheet. Something in between that works for both.

What people are saying

Real players. Real reactions.

These cards make learning feel much less like studying. We started using them as a quick game and ended up going through almost the whole deck.

Sophie M.

Really well designed and easy to understand. I love that you can pick up a card, learn something new and immediately turn it into a conversation.

James R.

I bought the deck to use with friends and it’s become one of those things we actually bring out regularly. Simple idea, but executed really well.

Daniel K.

The best part is that it doesn’t feel educational until you realise how much you’ve actually learned. Much more engaging than reading the same information from a book.

Emma T.

My kids enjoy the challenge and I enjoy playing with them. It’s rare to find something that can be entertaining for different age groups while still teaching you something.

Rachel P.

The cards are clear, interesting and actually make you want to keep going. Great for learning alone, but even better when you turn it into a game with other people.

Michael A.

I originally bought these as a gift but ended up ordering another deck for myself. The quality and presentation make them feel much more premium than I expected.

Olivia H.

A really clever way of turning knowledge into something social. We’ve had some surprisingly good conversations just from picking random cards from the deck.

Alex B.

Easy to use, beautifully presented and genuinely useful. You don’t need instructions for ten minutes before you can start — just pick a card and get going.

Charlotte W.

I’ve tried different educational card games before, but these feel much more modern. They work equally well for a quick five-minute challenge or a proper game night.
